Sunday recycling collections as crews catch up   Crews will be working this Sunday (14 May) to catch-up on outstanding recycling collections in villages and towns around Frome, Wells, Shepton Mallet and in parts of Bridgwater.  Collections are happening one day later all week due to the coronation bank holiday, including collections that would usually be made today (Friday 12 May) due to happen on Saturday.  Staffing shortages being experienced by Somerset Council’s waste contractor, SUEZ…

Coronation celebrations mean waste collections will be a day later   Somerset Council is reminding residents to make sure their bins are ‘standing to attention’ as crews collect a day later in the week beginning Monday 8 May.  Crews have been collecting on the usual scheduled days this week, after crews worked on bank holiday Monday 1 May.  But they will NOT be collecting on the extra coronation bank holiday, Monday 8 May.  Collections of recycling, refuse and garden waste will all be one day…
